Testimonials

Holly Winter is a caring, skilled, and dynamic educator. She was instrumental as a role model in the Single Reed Studio at Memorial University during her four years at the School of Music. I have heard nothing but rave reviews about her work as a teacher and tutor and have recommended her to many students.
— Dr. Christine Carter, Associate Professor of Music, Memorial University
Holly got me through Post Tonal theory! She took something complicated and broke it down in a way that got me to understand it.
— Undergraduate Music Student
I have been learning clarinet with Holly for two years and she has been extremely patient and useful teaching me in a fun way and always worried about my improvement. I really recommend her!
— Grade 7 Clarinet Student
I have been in lessons with Holly for about three years and my experience with her has been nothing but awesome. Holly plans her lessons ahead of time so that she’s always organized. I always have so much fun in my lessons because of Holly’s cheerful and upbeat personality. She’s also more than happy to help with whatever song you’re doing, for example from school band, and since she has a lot of musical experience she would probably know the song!

Holly is very flexible when it comes to her schedule. If there’s a certain song you want to play, or a certain warm-up you want instead, Holly would be very happy to change her lesson plan a bit. All in all, Holly is a wonderful teacher and a great friend.
— Madison, clarinet student, age 13
Receiving music theory tutoring from Holly at a University level greatly improved my understanding of theory. An absolute pleasure to learn with, Holly adapted to my method of learning to make sure I got the knowledge I needed.
— Lexie, Memorial University Music Student
When I was new to voice lessons, Holly made me feel really comfortable and showed me things that helped me improve right away. I appreciated her collaborative approach to lessons; she and I set goals together based on what I wanted. Everything from learning my part in choir to getting better at Karaoke.
I learned a lot from her and always had fun!
